UHD SPAIN LAUNCHES “YOUR UHD ZONE”, A NEW EXCLUSIVE AREA FOR REGISTERED USERS
The new area, accessible after free registration, is focused on releasing unreleased content on UHD for the Spanish audiovisual community

Consult the White Book on UHD in Spain, the UHD Spain Meetings with national and international experts, have access to exclusive explainers and technical documents are some of the features of this new area for registered users.
UHD Spain launches a new private area on its website, free of charge, for registered users that will allow access to exclusive documents such as the White Book of Ultra High Definition in Spain, explainers, and technical reports and presentations made during the virtual UHD Spain Meetings with national and international experts, among others.
The main purpose of this initiative, called “Your UHD Zone”, is to offer a virtual space that allows users and the Spanish audiovisual community to consult professional information regarding the implementation of Ultra High Definition in Spain, as well as to create and build a community of professionals interested in this technology.
For the UHD Spain association, launching this new private area is “an important step that will undoubtedly contribute to the creation of a community interested in UHD technology. It is important to continue to evolve in this line as an association to work together in the advancement and consensus of the implementation of Ultra High Definition in Spain”.
Users, once registered, will have unlimited access to exclusive and updated content prepared by audiovisual professionals related to this technology, as well as viewing the first edition of the White Book on UHD in Spain or reviewing Explainers and technical documents that work from the working groups of capture, postproduction, encoding, broadcasting, reception, and audio.
It will also be possible to access the recordings of the UHD Spain Meetings, which have addressed topics such as the distribution of spatial sound with José Javier López, professor of telecommunications at the Polytechnic University of Valencia; the main challenges of UHD streaming with the contribution of Sassan Pejhan, VP Emerging Technologies of Ateme; or an overview of the MFI with Julián Fernández-Campón, CTO of TEDIAL.
Other videos to be accessed by registered users will be the NGA masterclass on the evolution of sound processing in consumer AV products given by Samuel Fabra, TV Technology Manager at Sony, and the meeting with directors and colorists on the impact of HDR in lighting and shooting, moderated by Emili Planas, CTO of Mediapro and with the participation as speakers of Juan Luis Cabellos, an active member of the AEC and teacher at the ECAM university; Domènech Gibert, director of photography, an active member of the AEC, teacher at the audiovisual school and trainer at TV3; Pol Turrents, also director of photography, nominated for the Gaudí awards as director of photography for his work on the film Xtrems; and Luis Ochoa, a senior colorist with over 15 years of experience, designer of 4K HDR workflows, currently working at Drago Broadcast Services of the Secuoya Group and expert in HDR monitors for Canon and Sony.
This service is part of the series of initiatives launched by the UHD Spain association in its commitment to unite all companies and professionals in the audiovisual industry in the development and implementation of Ultra High Definition in Spain.
The new area for registered users “Your UHD Zone” has been developed under the same framework as the UHD Spain website launched in January 2021 – www.uhdspain.com.
UHD Spain is a non-profit association created on January 26, 2021 to promote Ultra High Definition (UHD) in Spain.
